Artrox is the first approved medicine in Sweden that is based on glucosamine for the treatment of mild to moderate joint weakness, also known as osteoarthritis. Joint failure can occur when the joints have been overloaded for a long time, but it is a complex disease where several factors come into play. It is also the most common chronic disease in Sweden.

Glucosamine is a natural substance that is formed in the body from sugar molecules and is important for building up larger molecules that are found in joint fluid and cartilage, among other things. Artrox belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drugs. This means it reduces inflammation, but is free of cortisone. Artrox offers a treatment option for people with osteoarthritis to reduce symptoms and improve joint function.
