Niferex is a form of iron taken by mouth to treat or prevent iron deficiency. Iron is essential for oxygen transport and for the transfer of energy in the body.

Dosage & use
Always take Niferex according to the instructions below unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Adults: At the beginning of treatment 35 drops 4-6 times daily for 1-2 weeks and then 35 drops once or twice daily Niferex should not be used for longer than one month without a doctor's prescription. Children and newborns: Body weight 2 kg: 2 drops 2-4 times daily Body weight 3 kg: 3 drops 2-4 times daily Body weight 4 kg: 4 drops 2-4 times daily Body weight 5 kg: 5 drops 2-4 times daily Body weight= 10 kg: 10 drops 2-4 daily Do not use Niferex for children under 12 without a doctor's prescription. The drops can be diluted in water or fruit juice or mixed with pureed fruit immediately before consumption. Vegetables, milk products, coffee and tea should be avoided at the same time as Niferex because the absorption of Niferex can be impaired. The drops can be drunk through a straw to prevent discoloration of the teeth Treatment should continue until normal blood values are reached. The treatment can conveniently continue for some time to further improve the iron stores. There are no known risks when using Niferex in connection with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor for advice before taking Niferex.
