Artroxan 60 capsules

Artroxan is an over-the-counter medicine used to relieve symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee joint (joint wear and tear) in adults. The medicine contains the active substance glucosamine and belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drugs. Glucosamine is a substance produced naturally in the body from glucose (a type of sugar). Glucosamine is needed for the body to form larger molecules that are found in, among other things, synovial fluid and cartilage.

Symptomatic relief (especially pain relief) may only occur after several weeks of treatment and sometimes longer. Artroxan should not be used for longer than 1 month without consulting a doctor, as the doctor may need to examine whether you have a joint disease that requires other treatment.

NOTE! Not to be used by people allergic to shellfish.

Dosage & use

Artroxan is used for the relief of symptoms in mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee joint (joint wear and tear) in adults. Dosage: 2 capsules once a day. Symptomatic relief (especially pain relief) may only occur after several weeks of treatment and sometimes longer. Artroxan should not be used for longer than 1 month without consulting a doctor. NOTE! Should not be used by people allergic to shellfish.
