Basiron AC, gel 10% 40 gr

Basiron AC is Sweden's best-selling over-the-counter acne medication. Basiron AC contains benzoyl peroxide, which has a bactericidal effect on the acne bacterium Propionibacterium acnes. Benzoyl peroxide also exfoliates the skin and thereby removes the excess horn substance that clogs the sebaceous glands.

• Basiron can bleach or discolour hair, fabric and other materials. When treating Basiron AC gel, sunbathing and solariums should be avoided.
• AC - which is part of the product name - stands for Acrylate Copolymer and is a substance included in the product.
• Read the package insert carefully before use.

Dosage & use

Clean and dry the skin properly before each treatment. Apply Basiron AC thinly to the skin areas to be treated, once daily, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor. With continued treatment, the dosage can be increased from once to twice daily, provided that you tolerate the medicine well. If you have sensitive skin, treatment is recommended once a day before bedtime. Start treating with Basiron AC 5%. If treatment with Basiron AC 5% does not help, treatment with Basiron AC 10% can be started. Then apply Basiron AC 10% to the skin areas to be treated, once or twice daily. If you have sensitive skin, treatment is recommended once a day before bedtime. Basiron AC should be used with caution to achieve the best results. Contact a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve.

1 gram of Basiron AC gel 10% contains Active substance: 100 mg benzoyl peroxide. Other ingredients: Propylene glycol, glycerol, acrylate copolymer, Carbomer 940, sodium edetate, Poloxamer 182, docusate sodium, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium hydroxide and purified water.
